DENVER – The Colorado Mammoth of the National Lacrosse League (NLL) today announced the organization signed defenseman Tim Edwards to a one-year contract agreement, set to begin during the league’s 2026-27 campaign.
Edwards, 33, most recently produced new offensive, career-high figures across the board, including a personal-best six goals and 17 points (6g, 11a), with the defenseman’s 11 helpers tying his career-high mark from the NLL’s 2022-23 regular season slate.
With rookie faceoff specialist Matthew Paolatto entering the fold last season, the Jamesville, New York native was freed up for additional defensive shifts and transition opportunities during his ninth professional campaign.
The 6-2, 194-lb. talent added 76 loose balls, 10 caused turnovers, six blocked shots and just four penalty minutes as one of eight players to dress for each of the Mammoth’s 18 regular season matchups last season.
With 1,507 faceoff wins to his name, Edwards remains atop the organization’s all-time rankings for successful draws while remaining ranked Top 7 in both loose balls (sixth) and caused turnovers (sixth) as one of the squad’s most dedicated back-enders.
Originally selected by the Buffalo Bandits during the fourth round (36th overall) of the 2015 NLL Entry Draft, Edwards signed with Colorado ahead of the 2017-18 campaign and has remained one of the organization’s most reliable players since.
Having sported the alternate captain “A” patch, he remains an instrumental piece of Colorado’s leadership puzzle, albeit a quieter presence who leads with his work ethic and helps set the tone for players in each of the defensive, transition and faceoff huddles.
