Mammoth Approach 2026 NLL Entry Draft Presented by Capelli Sport with Trio of Selections

DENVER – The Colorado Mammoth of the National Lacrosse League (NLL) approach Thursday’s 2026 NLL Entry Draft Presented by Capelli Sport with a trio of selections as the organization prepares to welcome another electric class of players to the fold Sept. 24.

As of Wednesday morning, Colorado enters the 2026 NLL Entry Draft with three selections, including picks at No. 18 (second round), 25 (second round) and 60 (fifth round).

Prior to the league hosting the NLL Dispersal Draft last week, the Mammoth owned the No. 22 (second round), 30 (second round) and 75 picks (fifth round), but with both the Ottawa Black Bears and Philadelphia Wings ceasing operations as of Sept. 10, Colorado’s picks were respectively improved to their current positions.

Thursday’s Draft will feature just five rounds as opposed to the traditional six rounds in years past.

Positioned to make two selections in the second round, Colorado can look in any direction with the pair of early-draft selections. Knowing the organization welcomed a duo of defensemen via the NLL Dispersal Draft, flanked by a transition specialist later in the afternoon, there’s a chance the Mammoth begin Thursday’s talent-sorting affair in the O-zone.

At the same time, Mammoth Head Coach and Assistant General Manager Pat Coyle has always revered top-tier back-enders, so fans shouldn’t be surprised to see the team double-down on the established, veteran-heavy presence within its defensive unit.
