Mammoth Acquires Forward Mike Burke from Rochester Knighthawks

The Colorado Mammoth announced today the organization has acquired forward Mike Burke from the Rochester Knighthawks in exchange for a third round selection in the 2023 NLL Entry Draft.

Hailing from Caledon, Ontario, the 6-1, 195 lb. forward most recently logged 12 points (5g, 7a), 18 loose balls and six penalty minutes in six appearances with Rochester during the 2021-22 NLL campaign.

The right-handed forward previously spent two seasons with the Mammoth during the 2014 and 15 seasons, where he logged 34 points (14g, 20a), 31 loose balls and 8 penalty minutes in 20 games with Colorado, adding two loose balls in one postseason appearance with the organization.

In 52 career games played with Edmonton, Colorado, Rochester and Halifax from 2013 to 2022, Burke has recorded 120 points (43g, 77a), 139 loose balls and 30 penalty minutes in six total seasons and five in which he’s logged six or more appearances.

The exchange between the Mammoth and Knighthawks represents the first trade between the organizations since Colorado acquired the 28th overall selection in the 2020 NLL Entry Draft in exchange for forward Jeff Wittig.
