Colorado Mammoth to Host Georgia Swarm During LOUD HOUSE Home Opener Jan. 1

DENVER – The Colorado Mammoth of the National Lacrosse League (NLL) today announced the organization’s LOUD HOUSE home opener for the approaching 2026-27 campaign is set to take place at Ball Arena on Friday, Jan. 1 against the Geogia Swarm.

Primed to host the Swarm for the second-consecutive home-opening honors as the Burgundy Boys prepare to welcome the loudest fans in lacrosse back to the LOUD HOUSE, Mammoth forward Andrew Kew will face his former squad after pacing the Mammoth with 45 goals in just 12 regular season appearances during his first campaign with Colorado.

Despite the new year, fans will embrace the same LOUD HOUSE energy as fans celebrate the arrival of 2027 during Kroenke Sports & Entertainment’s (KSE) first action-packed showcase of the calendar year inside Ball Arena, a venue that’s fueled two NLL Championship runs over the years (2006, 2022).

Set to invade the LOUD HOUSE for the team’s first contest amongst nine scheduled home games once the new year dawns, Colorado will begin its campaign with a pair of road matchups, sandwiched between a pair of early-season bye weeks and a weekend of practice before setting up camp in 5280 land for three-straight home games within the comfortable confines of Ball Arena.

Having produced a matching 12-6 record as the Mammoth last season, the Swarm have continued to build young and learn quick, with forward Lyle Thompson remaining a leader on the turf, in the locker room and throughout the lacrosse community.

Following a successful regular season run, Georgia went on to knock off the three-time defending NLL Champion Buffalo Bandits during last year’s Quarterfinals before eventually dropping a best-of-three series to the Halifax Thunderbirds during the NLL Semifinals.

Colorado split its two-game regular season series against Georgia last season, including a 12-3 loss at home Dec. 27 and a rallying 7-5 victory on the road two weeks later on Jan. 10 at Gas South Arena.

In similar fashion this season, the Mammoth will travel to Georgia just 22 days after hosting the Swarm on New Year’s Day during a Jan. 23 showdown out east.

Overall, Colorado is 10-6 against Georgia since the franchise was established in 2016, which includes a 5-3 record at Ball Arena.

The league office is expected to announce the entire 2026-27 NLL schedule next week.
