DENVER – The Colorado Mammoth of the National Lacrosse League (NLL) today announced the organization signed defenseman Joe Juengerkes to a three-year contract agreement, set to begin during the league’s 2026-27 campaign.
Juengerkes, 23, has spent his first summer as a professional competing with the Maryland Whipsnakes of the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) as a short stick defensive midfielder (SSDM).
Across his five appearances thus far with the Whipsnakes, the Islip, New York native has recorded two points (0g, 2a), three ground balls and one penalty minute.
Prior to going pro, the 6-foot, 190-lb. talent put the finishing touches on his second season at Rutgers University courtesy of a seven-point (5g, 2a) effort, having racked up 44 ground balls and forcing 13 caused turnovers throughout his 15 appearances.
Across his two seasons with Rutgers, Juengerkes netted 18 points (12g, 6a), 99 ground balls and 29 caused turnovers following a three-year stint at Princeton University, where he began his collegiate journey in 2022.

Originally selected by Colorado during the fourth round (52nd overall) of the 2025 NLL Entry Draft, the right-handed defenseman will look to secure a spot on the roster during the squad’s 2026 Colorado Mammoth Training Camp this fall, which begins in Lakewood, Colorado in late October.
