Mammoth Name Andrew McBride Assistant General Manager

DENVER – The Colorado Mammoth of the National Lacrosse League (NLL) today announced the organization has named former Defensive Coordinator Andrew McBride as the team’s Assistant General Manager.

The new contract will take effect immediately, with McBride set to join Assistant General Manager, Head Coach Pat Coyle, Scott Carnegie, the team’s Head of Player Development, and Brad Self, Colorado’s General Manager, in overseeing personnel decisions and contributing toward scouting efforts leading into the upcoming 2023-24 NLL season.

“Keeping Andrew in the organization was really important for us,” Mammoth General Manager Brad Self said. “He’s a great lacrosse mind with an abundant skill set who’s ultra-competitive and will help us continue to build a winning team and culture.”

Having spent the last five years coaching alongside NLL Hall of Fame member in Coyle, he’s been able to experience the ins and outs of creating a championship-caliber roster while remaining dedicated to drafting and developing defensive prospects like Warren Jeffrey, Jalen Chaster and company into every-day NLL players.

“This new role will allow me to spend more time with my young family while staying involved with the Mammoth,” Assistant General Manager Andrew McBride said. “I can’t thank the organization, Brad Self and the coaching staff for showing faith in me and I look forward to contributing to the Mammoth anyway I can.”

Helping Colorado to establish and maintain a feverish reputation for having one of the most elite defensive units and approaches in the league, McBride has helped lead the organization to two consecutive NLL Finals appearances, with the team capturing its second NLL Championship with McBride at the helm of the back-end group in 2022.

“It’s been a dream come true coaching in the NLL for the past five seasons. Watching the players achieve their ultimate goal is something I will never forget,” McBride added.

McBride also serves as the General Manager, Head Coach for the Okotoks Raiders Jr. A program of the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League (RMLL), allowing him to scout and connect with future NLL talent north of the border while continuing to grow the game as a coach and lacrosse mentor.
