Mammoth Land Pair of Deals Prior to NLL Trade Deadline

As the NLL’s trade deadline approached Monday afternoon, the Colorado Mammoth executed a pair of transactions as the defending NLL Champions are set to make another run.

The team first acquired a conditional third-round selection in the 2023 NLL Entry Draft from the Saskatchewan Rush in exchange for veteran forward Rhys Duch. Duch, who was signed as a free agent earlier this season, recorded 33 points (10g, 22a) in right appearances with Colorado and now joins a 5-7 Rush squad where he ranks fourth in points. The Mammoth added a potential Top 50 pick in this year’s upcoming NLL Entry Draft by acquiring the conditional third-round selection.

The organization then sent a conditional third-round selection in the 2025 NLL Entry Draft to the Las Vegas Desert Dogs in exchange for defenseman Garret McIntosh.

McIntosh, originally drafted 24th overall in the 2013 NLL Entry Draft (third round), has spent time in Calgary, San Diego, Vancouver and most recently Las Vegas, where he’s logged 51 points (20g, 31a) and 380 loose balls in 125 career NLL appearances. The Coquitlam, B.C. native has added two points (0g, 2a) and 25 loose balls in 11 postseason games 33 and has recorded three points (0g, 3a) and 30 loose balls in 11 contests played with Las Vegas this season and will look to help the banged up squad during the stretch run.

Colorado, now 6-6 after picking up a huge 13-8 win in Buffalo last weekend, will now head to Vancouver for its first of two matchups against the Vancouver Warriors March 25.
