Mammoth Ink Goaltender Ethan Woods Ahead of Training Camp

DENVER – The Colorado Mammoth of the National Lacrosse League (NLL) today announced the organization signed goaltender Ethan Woods to a one-year contract agreement, set to begin during the 2023-24 NLL campaign.

Most recently competing with the Warriors last year during the 2022-23 season, the Owen Sound, Ontario native suited up in four games for Vancouver, logging one point (0g, 1a) and 30 saves during just over 40 minutes (40:32) of playing time.

Ending his third professional season with an 0-1 record, .750 save percentage and a 14.80 goals-against average, he 25-year-old is set to compete for a roster spot during this year’s training camp, set to begin Nov. 3-5 in Lakewood, Colorado.

Originally selected during the second round (31st overall) of the 2018 NLL Entry Draft by the New England Black Wolves (now Albany FireWolves), Woods spent 11 games on the team’s active roster in his rookie year, but only played just over 13 minutes (13:05), stopping six of seven shots faced.

Continuing to serve as a backup option to starting goaltender Doug Jamieson during the 2022 campaign, the 6-4, 210-lb. talent spent all 18 regular season games on Albany’s active roster, stopping six of nine shots faced in just over 18 minutes (18:07) on the floor.
