Mammoth, FireWolves Agree to Early-Season Trade

DENVER – The Colorado Mammoth of the National Lacrosse League (NLL) today completed a trade with the Albany FireWolves, acquiring a second-round selection in the 2025 NLL Entry Draft and the draft rights to Carson Moyer in exchange for defenseman Anthony Joaquim and a third-round selection in the 2025 NLL Entry Draft.

Moyer, a 6-1, 185-lb. midfielder, is set to return to the University of Utah for his final year of NCAA eligibility where he’ll look to build on his 54 points (44g, 10a) in 43 collegiate appearances.

Selected by Albany in the second round (32nd overall) of the 2023 NLL Entry Draft, the King City, Ontario native posted 89 points (46g, 43a) during his final Jr. A season with the Mimico Mountaineers (2022) and most recently recorded 24 points (11g, 13a) in 13 games with the Sr. A Coburg Kodiaks (2023).

When the trade was finalized, Moyer was moved to the team’s Draft List.

In a pair of corresponding moves, the team released defenseman Nate Wade and placed Practice Player Jon Phillips on the Active Roster from the Practice Player List.

The trade agreement marks the second trade between the Albany FireWolves and Colorado Mammoth, with the Mammoth acquiring forward Connor Kelly earlier this summer in exchange for a first-round draft pick in the 2023 NLL Entry Draft representing the first swap between organizations.
