Despite starting the season with two away matchups while navigating a bye week and brief league-wide pause for the holiday weekend, the Colorado Mammoth are set to host the Calgary Roughnecks Jan. 7 for its home opener. Reflective of the team capturing its second NLL Championship last season over the Buffalo Bandits, the team’s return to the Loud House will celebrate the team’s accomplishments and salute its dedicated fanbase in bringing a championship back to the lacrosse-forward community.
Throughout the team’s 2022-23 campaign, Colorado will host nine regular season contests at Ball Arena, with the team announcing today each of the nine theme nights for the season:
GAME 1 JAN. 7 – CELEBRATION OF CHAMPIONS
The boys are back in town, and the LOUD HOUSE will be ELECTRIC as the best fans in the National Lacrosse League get set to welcome back their 2021-22 NLL Champions. Featuring a pregame banner-raising ceremony, tons of celebratory content and a matchup against the Calgary Roughnecks, which the team defeated 16-12 during last year’s epic postseason run, it’s time to bring lacrosse back to Ball Arena! With some of our state champions from various youth lacrosse leagues from across the state, we’ve got a few championship to celebrate! (Alexa, Play: Big Rings by Drake & Future)
GAME 2 JAN. 13 – Y2K NIGHT
We’re talking countdown clocks, troubleshooting technology and old school lacrosse (we weren’t even created yet!), so get ready to don your favorite Canadian Tuxedo, bump some Backstreet Boys and crush some Budweiser as the Mammoth take it back to the year 2000. A celebration and achievement in itself, the Mammoth will host the Saskatchewan Rush as the teams battle at the turn-of-the-century mark.
GAME 3 JAN. 28 – GRATEFUL DEAD NIGHT
Come for the lacrosse, stay for the jams, mannnn. All of the tie-dye, dancing bears and rock n’ roll vibes will be radiating from Ball Arena as the Mammoth stay groovy for the night. Featuring a pair of halftime and postgame performance from Shakedown Street, Colorado’s premier Grateful Dead cover band, fans will enjoy the psychedelic sounds and pack the (lower) bowl as the Mammoth host its rival San Diego Seals for a West Conference showdown.
GAME 4 FEB. 3 – LACROSSE OUT CANCER
The Mammoth and Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children are teaming up to continue the battle against cancer as we celebrate and honor all warriors during the organization’s annual Lacrosse Out Cancer night. Join us for an evening of tributes, stories and warm wishes as we embrace our lacrosse community and their loved ones in the continued fight. Funds from the team’s uniform auction and a portion of each ticket sold will be donated to Kroenke Sports Charities, as the best fans in the league help the Mammoth Lacrosse Out Cancer.
GAME 5 FEB. 24 – MILITARY APPRECIATION NIGHT
The Mammoth are proud to be a part of Kroenke Sports & Entertainment’s annual Military Appreciation series, which will honor all those who serve, who have served or are committing to enlist in the military. We look forward to celebrating all members of the armed forces as the team commemorates those who have served in the past and those who are nobly swearing in to help protect our freedoms.
GAME 6 MARCH 10 – RUMBLE AT THE LOUD HOUSE
Battle royales themselves are usually quite the experience, but throw in a few defending champions, Wooly’s unmatchable presence in the ring and the elite talents of our friends from Rocky Mountain Pro Wrestling and there’s no telling what kind of craziness this year’s match will bring. Featuring an evening’s worth of custom promo videos, escalating drama and of course, some lacrosse, fans will stick around after the turf action when more than 30 wrestlers and beyond mix it up in the ringside finale.
GAME 7 MARCH 31 – GROW THE GAME NIGHT
Our team is grateful to be part of a community which has enjoyed and appreciated the thrills and lessons lacrosse brings. As fans, players, coaches and parents of the sport we all love, it’s important to recognize the efforts teams throughout the state are achieving in continuing to grow and evolve the game. The Mammoth’s championship effort last season represents Colorado’s dedication to the game, and rightfully so, we’re celebrating everyone who’s gotten us here and will help us take the next step!
GAME 8 APRIL 8 – COUNTRY NIGHT
Roll the windows down and turn up your favorite acoustic tune on the way to Ball Arena as the Mammoth square-dance their way into a matchup with the Vancouver Warriors. Bring the cowboy hats and boots, your best dancing dress or a bolo and flannel as we take it slow down the back roads.
GAME 9 APRIL 14 – FAN APPRECIATION NIGHT
Things come and go over time, but the best fans in lacrosse don’t! There’s no other way to close out a regular season than by celebrating our dedicated Season Ticket Members and avid fanbase who support us each year. The 2022-23 season is sure to feature some electric moments at Ball Arena, but we know for sure the season finale will be packed full of fan giveaways and involvement as we salute our Citizens of the Loud House!
