Lee Named to NLL All-League Second Team

The National Lacrosse League announced its 2021-22 NLL All-League Second Team Thursday, including the likes of Mammoth forward Ryan Lee. Recording a career-best 119 points (34g, 85a) while pacing his championship squad during the regular season, the RIT product finished second in NLL scoring while quarterbacking Colorado’s loaded offensive unit.

Surpassing the franchise’s previous single-season point total, 116, achieved by John Grant Jr. during his 2012 MVP season, Lee’s 85 assists represent the second-most ever recorded in an NLL season, while his 119 points now rank fourth-best all-time for a single season.

Seemingly involved in every key Mammoth conversion throughout the year, the fourth-year forward proved lethal whether flying toward the crease, ripping a step-down laser or seeking to keep his teammates involved, as Lee undoubtedly contributed to the career-best point totals of more than five Mammoth players this season.

After finishing second in scoring in the regular season, Lee paced NLL postseason producers through the Quarterfinal round of playoff action, as the forward racked up 10 points (2g, 8a) during Colorado’s 16-12 victory over the Calgary Roughnecks. Prior to Game 1 of the West Conference Finals in San Diego, Lee suffered a lower-body injury which ultimately ended the forward’s season, but is expected to be cleared before training camp this fall.

The breakout playmaker was named to the All-League Second Team alongside fellow elite NLL producers in Jeff Teat (New York Riptide), Challen Rogers (Toronto Rock), Latrell Harris (Toronto Rock), Kyle Rubisch (Saskatchewan Rush) and Nick Rose (Toronto). The honors mark Lee’s first time being named to the All-League Second Team.
