Mammoth Sign Forward Parker Pipher to One-Year Deal

DENVER – The Colorado Mammoth of the National Lacrosse League (NLL) today signed forward Parker Pipher to a one-year contract agreement, with terms set to begin during the 2023-24 campaign, as Pipher is expected to travel with the team to Toronto this weekend.

Originally selected by the Rochester Knighthawks in the third round of the 2022 NLL Entry Draft (45th overall), Pipher most recently logged eight points (3g, 5a), 11 loose balls and two penalty minutes in three regular season appearances with the Rochester Knighthawks during his rookie season (2023-24).

The first-year talent may have only cracked the starting lineup a handful of times, but was sure to record at least two points in each of his three games played.

Storming onto the professional scene with a three-point (2g, 1a) outing during his NLL debut on March 25 against the Las Vegas Desert Dogs, he wasted little time in notching both his first pro goal and assist. Doubling down during his second appearance, he matched his previous three-point total (1g, 2a), albeit earning a pair of assists alongside his third goal of the season.

Eventually relegated back to the Practice Player List for a majority of April, he represented the Knighthawks during Rochester’s final game of the season by producing a pair of helpers (0g, 2a) en route to extending his NLL point streak to three games.

Playing alongside current Mammoth forward Thomas Vela last season, the Oshawa, Ontario native spent the 2023-24 Training Camp with the Knighthawks before being released from the team in late November. Choosing to keep his stick hot throughout the winter, he opted into a season with the Toronto Monarchs of the Arena Lacrosse League (ALL), where he continues to pace the squad in goals (28), assists (44) and overall scoring (72 points) in 12 games played.

Just two points short of the ALL East’s overall scoring leader (74 points: 16g, 58a), Pipher has also showcased his skills at the Sr. A level, most recently recording 18 points (1g, 17a) and six penalty minutes in seven appearances.

Set to shift gears and now share a locker room with the likes of Dillon Ward, Eli McLaughlin and the entire Colorado Mammoth squad looking to steal a win in Toronto this weekend, the right-handed forward will look to make an impact as soon as Friday afternoon, as the team prepares to practice out east ahead of its showdown with the Rock.
