Mammoth Inks Defenseman Jordan Stouros Ahead of Season Opener

DENVER – The Colorado Mammoth of the National Lacrosse League (NLL) today announced the organization has signed defenseman Jordan Stouros to a one-year contract agreement, set to begin during the 2023-24 NLL campaign.

Most recently recording four points (1g, 3a), 37 loose balls, six caused turnovers and three blocked shots in 12 regular season appearances with the Rochester Knighthawks last season, he added two loose balls and two caused turnovers in one postseason game played.

Initially logging 24 loose balls, six caused turnovers, one blocked shot and seven penalty minutes during his rookie campaign with the Buffalo Bandits (2022-23), he went on to record three loose balls, one caused turnover and two blocked shots in three postseason appearances.

Throughout his first two seasons in the league, he’s amassed four points (1g, 3a), 61 loose balls, 12 caused turnovers, four blocked shots and seven penalty minutes in 22 regular season games played while contributing five loose balls and three caused turnovers in four playoff appearances.

Originally drafted by the Buffalo Bandits in the 2020 NLL Entry Draft (second round, 23rd overall), Stouros is also a four-time Mann Cup champion, having captured four consecutive titles with the Peterborough Lakers.

In a corresponding move, the organization placed defenseman Evan Downey on the Injured Reserve List, which now features seven defenseman days before the team is set to begin its 2023-24 campaign Dec. 9 against the Georgia Swarm.
