DENVER – Sometimes a major change of scenery requires some time to get used to.
Thankfully for Colorado Mammoth forward Jack Hannah, he’s called the greater Denver area home for a while now, having represented the University of Denver for several years during his time competing within the NCAA’s ever-electric lacrosse scene.
So, when the Mammoth officially acquired the star talent from the Las Vegas Desert Dogs a few games into the National Lacrosse League’s (NLL) 2025-26 campaign, he didn’t need a new place to stay – or a moving truck, for that matter.
His roots were already established in the Mile High City.
All that was left was finding his place in the Mammoth locker room, as he, and everyone surrounding him in Colorado, were confident he’d quickly find his spot on the turf.
And, wouldn’t you know it, all over the scoresheet.
Trailing only teammate and fellow forward Will Malcom when it comes to Colorado’s top-performing talents, Hannah racked up 85 points (27g, 58a) across his 15 regular season appearances. For as impactful he was in filling nets throughout his first season with the Mammoth, it was his ability to create space and opportunities for his teammates, as Hannah regularly drew at least one and a half, if not two, defenders whenever he wielded the rock.

Ending his regular season with 58 helpers, the most amongst Colorado personnel, Hannah’s assist total ranked No. 13 overall across NLL producers despite drawing into just 15 matchups.
Later adding four points (1g, 3a) during Colorado’s NLL Quarterfinals showdown against the San Diego Seals, he officially averaged 5.56 points per game across his 16 career appearances representing the Burgundy and Black contingent.
Turning up the heat a notch down the home stretch, Hannah recorded a hat trick in five of Colorado’s final seven regular season showdowns, while managing at least a pair of goals in nine of his 15 games played. Just as impressive, he notched six or more assists in four different matchups, while producing six or more points in eight of his 15 regular season appearances.
For as impactful as he was in racking up points, goals and celebrations, it was the ferocity Hannah displayed each time he stepped onto the floor which may have ultimately energized said Mammoth squad to its 12-6 record.
It’s certainly what earned him the editorial nickname of “The Tiger,” as his effort and athleticism on display throughout his first few games with Colorado practically had the kid jumping out of the television screen.
Acquiring a standout forward like Hannah certainly suggests the organization was hoping to, and will continue to, hunt down another NLL Championship. The way he operates and holds himself is nothing short of All-Pro caliber. He’s a walking example of the metaphor “A rising tide lifts all ships,” as Hannah played a huge role in helping fellow righty Braedon Saris flourish in year one while buying some time and space for established threats like Will Malcom, Andrew Kew and company.
And with Hannah around for the foreseeable future, that has to energize Mammoth supporters just the same, as the 26-year-old sure seems to have set up camp in 5280 territory!
Just ask the youth athletes who interact with him daily at LacrosseDen. He’s bought in, hungry, and ready to bring some hardware back to the city he calls home.
