On Tuesday, October 8, 2019, the Colorado Mammoth announced the nine theme nights for the 2019-20 season. A staple theme night, Lacrosse Out Cancer, will return for its 11th season on Friday, March 20, 2020 versus division rival, Calgary Roughnecks.
Based off the popularity of the 2018-19 Lacrosse Out Cancer jerseys, the Mammoth and Kroenke Sports Charities are allowing anyone who would like to honor someone affected by cancer to put a name on the back of the team’s Lacrosse Out Cancer jersey with a $25 donation. Kroenke Sports Charities will direct donations toward local nonprofit partners that fight cancer daily. Last season, over 190 names were placed on the jerseys.
As in past seasons, lavender – representing awareness of all forms of cancer – and white will be the primary colors of the Lacrosse Out Cancer jerseys.
The donation period will start on October 8, 2019 and end after the Mammoth game on Saturday January 25, 2020. Any person who would like to add a name on the back of the Mammoth’s Lacrosse Out Cancer game jerseys can visit https://www.ksetix.com/mammoth/lacrosse-out-cancer/.
Fans can bid on the game worn jerseys and shorts the week leading into the game. The uniform auction is a separate event than the donation although every jersey will have all the donated names on them.
